The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art (BALTIC) is an international centre for contemporary art located on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne.
The international reputation has seen world-renowned artists such as Damien Hirst and Yoko Ono feature on its superb exhibition programme. In 2011, the BALTIC played host to the Turner Prize, which attracted more than 150,000 visitors to the art centre.
The art centre attracts artists from around the world to contribute to exhibitions and events that are constantly changing. The Baltic is fast becoming one of the top tourist attraction in the north east of England.
Admission to the art centre is free to all visitors.
Open daily 10:00-18:00, except Tuesdays 10:30-18:00
